MEET DEDE
Grace has shaped DeDe Jones’s life in ways she never could have planned. Through more than two decades of ministry, along with a lifetime of music, writing and plenty of real-life detours, she’s learned that faith has room for questions, imperfect people and stories that don’t unfold quite the way we expected.
Today, DeDe is a pastor, author, speaker and recording artist who believes faith should make room for honest questions, real people and a whole lot of grace. her ministry is grounded in a simple conviction: God’s love is wide, everyone belongs and grace is still very good news.
That same conviction runs through DeDe’s preaching, writing and music. She’s especially drawn to the places where faith gets complicated, where inherited answers stop working and people begin wondering if the Jesus they’ve been told about is really the Jesus they meet in Scripture.

Today, DeDe serves as a pastor at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, where she helps lead Crosswalk, a modern worship community built around the belief that everyone belongs.
Her preaching and writing often begin in the places where faith gets complicated: the questions we’re afraid to ask, the things we were taught that no longer quite fit and the moments when church and Jesus seem strangely far apart.

BEYOND THE PULPIT
Music has been part of DeDe’s life for as long as she can remember, shaping the way she communicates faith long before she ever stepped into a pulpit. As a singer and songwriter with Lovers Lane Worship, she helps create music that feels honest, accessible and connected to the real lives of the people singing it.
That musical background also shapes the way DeDe preaches, teaches and leads. She understands the power of a story carried by a melody, the way a room can change when people sing together and how music can sometimes reach places words alone can’t. It’s why music continues to be an important part of her worship leadership, speaking events and story-and-song experiences.
